V1.3 Update 1/9/2025:

  • Thicker Lid Handle and increased infill percentage for improved durability
  • Reduced Lid tightness for easier removal
  • Minor cosmetic updates
  • Added a new option for an extended ring spacer with a flange for keeping filters off of your work surface and optional false bottom. Thanks for the suggestion @punkti

(Edit: I've also made available an experimental print profile to fully enclose the filters, but it requires printing in two parts and assembling during a pause in order to avoid printing generated supports. Print at your own risk, and follow instructions on the print profile)

Update: An alternate version of the lid is now available. This extended scoop lid as requested by @SpartanSig helps to retain beans as they are poured from the storage tube into the scoop. As the lip is on the left side, this orientation is suited to those who are right-handed. The geometry can easily be mirrored along the x-axis in the slicer for easier use by those who are left-handed.

With this AeroPress Storage & Travel Set, you can bring filters and coffee along with you in nearly the same footprint as the AeroPress alone. It only adds 13mm to the total length!

Inside the hollow of the plunger, you can fit approximately 55g of coffee beans. The lid also acts as a measuring scoop and holds approximately 5.5g of beans or ground coffee. Perfect for measuring out an 11g serving.

The ring spacer allows you to keep the filter cap stored on the chamber end without deforming the plunger seal. This is useful because AeroPress do not recommend storing the plunger with the silicone seal compressed inside the chamber.

The added space provided by the ring spacer also accommodates up to 80 filters, although I recommend no more than 20 because they can get stuck in the filter cap.

If they do get stuck and you need to remove them without a tool small enough to push through the holes, just blow through the end to push them out.

The lid gasket needs to be printed in TPU or another flexible filament. The “correct” orientation for installation of the gasket is with the flats of the grip ribs up (With the lid oriented upright, respecting it's use on the AeroPress) and the bevels down, but installing it the other way around makes it slightly easier to open.

NOTE on scaling: Some users (it seems particularly those with the AeroPress with red printed text) have had success with printing the lid components at 101% scale for a tighter fit. I did have one lid break on me while removing it after it was stored for a few weeks because the TPU gripped too well on the inner cavity of the plunger. I have since adjusted the lid geometry to make the handle portion thicker, and adjusted the strength of the part in the profile, but just be aware of the concern before scaling.

USAGE NOTE: The ring spacer is for travel and storage only. It should not be used during brewing.
