Boost MeThis model has a long printing time and high filament consumption (about 2.5 spools). If you need to print it, or need to modify bolt tolerance sizes separately, or encounter any problems during assembly, please leave me a message or send a private message. I will reply as soon as I see it and try my best to help you solve any issues, saving your time and filament. Please, please, do not give me a bad review if you encounter a problem, thank you, heart~~~~~~
General solution for filament tolerance: 1. If installing the first side panel bolt is too tight and difficult (tip: heat the inside of the screw hole with a lighter for a few seconds then quickly screw in for easy installation, or try clamping and twisting with pliers, the screw is solid and high strength), you can print the "large tolerance bolt" in the separate configuration; if it's loose, you can reinforce the thread with glue. 2. If, after unfolding into a table, the engagement contact surfaces between the left and right side panels and the middle panel of the tabletop have play, causing the two sides of the tabletop to sag slightly, you can print the "side panel patch" from the separate configuration; refer to the installation diagram in the attachment for usage

Model Introduction:

The deformation concept of this model is inspired by the work of Danish woodworker Ken Winther (tribute). Inspired by him, I tried to replicate this transformation method. To convert woodworking cutting and processing into 3D printing, I redesigned the appearance, pivot points, and support structures for the panels to make it entirely 3D printable without hardware, a tribute again to this foreign woodworking designer (my skill level is limited, so I cannot fully replicate his superb craftsmanship, only achieve it in the simplest and easiest printable way).

  • This is a truly functional medieval retro-style deformable portable basket with super large capacity! It can be used as a food basket and storage box for picnics, gatherings, travel, and outings, or normally placed in the car trunk as a storage box. It can also be used at home as a fruit basket, in the kitchen as a vegetable basket, or even carried for grocery shopping! (Regarding load-bearing capacity: The basket state has a large load capacity; tests with it full of Coke were fine, though it became very heavy and difficult to lift. In the table state, it can hold various foods normally but cannot bear as much weight as the basket. It is only suitable for light items like food and picnic supplies, and you cannot "lean on it", especially on the sides. The author used PLA Basic filament; if you choose stronger filament, you should get greater load capacity)

  • Its biggest highlight is that it can unfold into a folding table when needed!

  • When unfolded into a table, its handle part can serve as a garbage bag holder (for large plastic bags), making it convenient to collect and dispose of trash from meals or gatherings in the wild, leaving only beauty in nature.

Additionally, the same mini ornament toy shown in the pictures is also included in this model configuration. Friends who like it can also print it. Installation notes are in point 5 (it can also transform)

Printing and Installation Instructions (Must Read), For transformation operations, please refer to the following animated images or video:

  1. The finished model is large and takes a long time to print. Before printing, be sure to clean the build plate (or apply glue or use a low-temperature stabilization plate) to ensure sufficient model adhesion during printing. Also, make sure you have enough of the same filament. The entire model has no hardware, has been optimized multiple times, and requires very little support. The strength and pre-arranged layout of each component (especially screws) have been verified, so do not modify them arbitrarily. For stressed parts (such as screws, screw holes, handles, etc.), please avoid using low-strength filaments like matte or Lite. Please use PLA Basic or higher filament (using PLA wood filament can achieve a texture closer to wood).

  2. Model installation requires: glue, a flat-head screwdriver, and 28 strong magnets (default size: 6X2MM) [magnets are recommended; not using them will not affect full functionality but will impact the feel of the transformation and reliability of use. Magnet size can be modified in the slicer software, method written below].

  3. Please read the installation manual carefully. The position and orientation of all types of panels must be assembled according to the diagrams. The red areas in the diagrams indicate recommended locations for applying glue for reinforcement.

  4. The embossed part of the handle can be colored, gold-plated, or silver-plated for a few minutes to give it more texture.

  5. The same ornament toy is assembled in the same way, with screws replaced by pins and magnet positions removed. To ensure it can transform and maintain its shape, the pins are quite tight. Installation is recommended by tapping them in with a small hammer or pressing them in on an inverted tabletop.

Basket transforms into a table (mini basket can also transform and can be used as a snack box)

Handle can serve as a garbage bag holder

How to modify the magnet installation hole to your required specifications (larger than 6MM), here is the tutorial:

First, open this model's 3MF file with the desktop slicer software Bambu Studio, create a new negative part on the plate, and adjust it to your desired magnet size, for example, 8.1X3MM (allowing 0.1 to 0.2 tolerance)

Second, simultaneously select the newly created negative part and the model body, then you can click the assembly function button; selecting only the negative part will not work

Third, in the assembly function, select Face 1 (fixed) as the bottom surface of the model's original hole, and Face 2 (movable) as the top surface of the negative part, then click "center align," and the negative part will be positioned over the opening

Fourth, the original hole depth is 2MM; if the negative part height is 3MM, use the move function to shift it down by 1MM, making the hole depth 3MM

Fifth, slice and print, and you will see the hole has changed to your desired size in the slice preview
